What is Digital Education?

Digital Education (also commonly referred to as digital learning) is a modern educational approach that appropriately integrates digital technologies and tools throughout different stages of teaching and learning. It is more than simply digitising paper-based materials. Through suitable devices and network connectivity, e-learning platforms, digital learning resources, innovative pedagogies and learning data, it enriches students’ learning experiences, promotes self-directed learning and caters for students’ diverse learning needs.

Our Direction for Digital Education

In line with curriculum development and students’ needs, our school makes good use of e-learning platforms, digital notebooks, multimedia resources and a diverse range of learning activities to promote pre-lesson preparation, classroom interaction, collaborative inquiry and post-lesson extension. Through blended learning, diversified assessment and appropriate learning feedback, we help students understand their strengths and learning needs, and develop active-learning habits.

Digital Learning Environment	Make good use of appropriate devices, network infrastructure, e-learning platforms and digital resources to support diverse learning needs.
Innovative Learning and Teaching	Integrate digital notebooks (Goodnotes), multimedia, group collaboration, inquiry-based learning and blended learning to enable continuous learning before, during and after lessons.
Diverse Assessment and Feedback	Use diverse learning activities, assignments and assessment methods to enable students to demonstrate their learning and improve through feedback and reflection.
Information Literacy and Responsible Use	Develop students’ ability to use technology safely, healthily and appropriately; protect personal data; discern information; and respect others and intellectual property.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)	Under teachers’ professional guidance, enable students to gradually understand artificial intelligence and use AI in appropriate learning contexts as a tool for inquiry, learning and creation.

AI as an Enabler: A Learning Assistant, Not a Substitute

Artificial intelligence is one of the learning and teaching tools in digital education. Our school values students’ independent thinking, first-hand experience and academic integrity. Under teachers’ guidance, students will explore AI’s capabilities and limitations, learn to formulate appropriate questions, verify information and use technology responsibly.

Our Hopes for Students

We hope our students will make good use of technology to enhance learning, ask questions proactively and try boldly; collaborate with peers, reflect on the learning process, and face the opportunities and challenges of the digital world with safety, respect, integrity and care.
