Aims
- Deepen the school's reading culture and enhance students' learning effectiveness and interest in reading.
- To enhance students’ learning by developing grammar practices for our P.1 – P.3 students using a combination of Spacetown programme. For senior grades (p.4 - P.6), we use textbooks, school-based task books and grammar exercises.
- To develop students’ four language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) through a variety of learning activities.
- To foster students’ interest in learning English through language activities, such as English Day, Speech Festival, choral speaking, English drama team, and story telling activities in recess.
- To enrich students’ learning experience through e-learning and wide reading.
Objectives
- Promote positive education into the English Curriculum.
- Revamp the existing curriculum and encourage our students to be creative and work collaboratively with their peers while enjoying the learning process.
- Enhance teachers’ professional development via professional development workshops and sharing sessions.
- Students get to borrow books according to their reading level in the English library.
- Our native English teachers also approach students by doing fun activities and teaching extracurricular classes to help students to use English in an organic manner.
