Annual Religious activities

P.1 new start blessing ceremony

This ceremony is held at the beginning of each semester with The Chinese Christian & Missionary Alliance United Gospel Church Whampoa. In this ceremony, we teach students how to write and the pastors also pray for each student and bless their six years of primary school life.

Campus Sunday Service

Every September or October, The Chinese Christian & Missionary Alliance United Gospel Church Whampoa invites parents, students and teachers of our school to attend the Sunday service on campus. Students and parents can get to know the church better, encourage and support teachers.

Christmas Service

Every year when Christmas is coming, we will use lively and interesting ways to show our students the importance of Christmas and the significance of the birth of Jesus Christ. We will let students worship and praise the Heavenly Father together.

Prayer and Worship

We worship and praise our Lord Jesus through songs, prayers and scriptures, so that students can learn how to thank and rely on God through prayer when they are young.

Gospel Days and Easter Service

Every year during Easter comes, Gospel Days allow students to experience different situations that Jesus faced from going to Jerusalem to the death on the cross. Different kinds of activities such as handicrafts, Bible story sharing, book fairs, inter-house Bible scripture and knowledge competitions, Easter Service and p1-6 experiential activities will be held to learn about, and to express their feelings and thoughts towards our God and His Love.

Parents’ Gospel Night

On the eve of Easter, Parents’ Gospel Night will be held by our school and The Chinese Christian & Missionary Alliance United Gospel Church Whampoa. Different guests are invited to the school to share and testify the love of God.

Gospel Camp

Our school and The Chinese Christian & Missionary Alliance United Gospel Church Whampoa organize gospel camps for Primary 6 students so that they can have the opportunity to know Jesus Christ and the church before they graduate.

Parents’ Sharing and Supportive group

The pastors of The Chinese Christian & Missionary Alliance United Gospel Church Whampoa share their daily life and beliefs by reading spiritual books or the Bible with parents.

Student Fellowship

We have student fellowships throughout the year. We hope our students learn about faith, serving others and ourselves through activities, adventures, worship, praying, stories and sharing.

Assembly

Every Friday there will be an assembly for upper and lower grades alternately. Students will learn about different religious themes and values through worship songs, prayers, messages, dramas, videos, book sharing, and reciting Bible verses.

P.6 Light Up Ceremony

Our school hopes that students can continue extending the spirit of APSW after graduation, and also hopes that God’s love can accompany graduates. This event is held in June every year at Hall to pray and bless each student one by one.
