Homework Policy
1. It develops and reinforces students’ learning outside formal class time.
2. It helps students to understand their own progress and identify areas for improvement.
3. It consolidates classroom learning and/or prepares students for new learning.
4. It helps teachers to identify students’ problems that need to be addressed and indicates what teaching should focus on.
1. In line with the school curriculum, homework has clear learning objectives.
2. Use different types and methods of homework to stimulate students' learning, and by providing interesting and challenging homework, cultivate students' independent learning habits and develop their independent and innovative spirit.
3. Some assignments will include questions of different levels or design hierarchical school-based worksheets to cater for students’ learning diversity.
4. Appropriate and meaningful memorization can enhance students’ understanding and appreciation of literary works and help them lay a solid foundation in language learning.
5. Encourage reading.
6. Adopt diversified assessments: Teacher assessment, student self-assessment, peer assessment or parent assessment.
1. Chinese, English and Mathematics homework every day.
2. Students can complete all homework within 2 hours. Individual homework adjustments will be arranged for students in need.
3. An appropriate amount of homework will be arranged before the holiday.
4. Chinese and English reading will be assigned as homework before the holiday.
